And, given the political tensions with our southern neighbour, many Canadians are taking a stand and are refusing to buy American produce in favour of food grown or raised in Canada. Buying local is beneficial for your health and Ontario’s $34-billion agri-food sector, the largest in the country. Local food also tastes better because it hasn’t travelled great distances to your plate!
