Food & Water First was at the front of the class at George Brown College in downtown Toronto the week of March 17-21. We were invited to speak to five classes of students enrolled in the Community Worker program. Global National – Save Midhurst

A vigorous campaign by one of our Partners, the Midhurst Ratepayers’ Association, to save a swath of prime farmland from development was covered by Global TV news on Thursday, March 20th. The Save Midhurst battle was joined recently by Canadian author Margaret Atwood who has promised to visit the community near Barrie should 5,000 people sign an on-line petition to preserve the farmland.
