Letter to Justin Trudeau

They call themselves the “Children of the Lands” and they’ve written an open letter to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau urging him to protect the Pickering Lands for future food security. The young members of Land Over Landings have composed a poignant and powerful letter to Trudeau describing how they’ve grown up on the land that was expropriated by his father’s former government and why it’s important for the new Trudeau government not to allow an airport to destroy thousands of acres of Class 1 soil and water resources.

“We firmly believe that safeguarding these Lands as a permanent source of fresh food and water would be the greatest gift you could give to the Greater Toronto Area.”
